Alex (Justin Chambers) is trying to make things right, but the doctors at Grey Sloan appear to be less forgiving of what he did to DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) encounter some obstacles in their co-parenting agreement.

The synopsis for "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, episode 4 — titled "Falling Slowly" — was released by ABC via Cartermatt.

"Alex tries to do the right thing but still cant catch a break. Jackson and April adjust to their 'new normal' with the baby. While Meredith and Nathan establish what's going on between them, Amelia questions the state of her relationship with Owen."

Previously in "Grey's Anatomy," Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) has returned to Grey Sloan from visiting Callie (Sara Ramirez) in New York, to find her roommate DeLuca in bad shape. Although he was the one assaulted, DeLuca felt that a lot of people hated him for Alex's incarceration. Arizona assured him that this is not the case. However, Arizona told off Alex, which pushed the latter to his limit, making him lose his cool and shouting at Arizona to back off.

In episode 4, it is expected that Alex will be doing everything he can to get into good terms with everyone, especially DeLuca, but it seems that people's minds aren't easy to change.

Meanwhile, Jackson and April are adjusting to their new co-parenting and divorced life. In a previous interview with TV Line, showrunner Shonda Rhimes revealed that Jackson and April will be having a healthy divorced-with-a-kid relationship.

Rhimes shared, "They're going to really try to do this in a healthy way. But is that healthy way going to feel so healthy when they still have feelings for each other?"

It appears that in the coming episodes of season 13, Japril (Jackson and April) will be experiencing some conflicts caused by their lingering feelings for each other.

But according to Williams, a reunion for the two is on the horizon as reported by TV Line. "I think, as long as they're alive, they're going to have hope, because they care deeply about each other. I would be hard-pressed to ever say the slate is wiped completely clean for them emotionally," he explained.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
