Maggie (Kelly McCreary) might finally discover the secret relationship of her sister Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and the man that she was crushing on — Nathan (Martin Henderson) — in the next episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.
Based on the promo trailer for the episode called "Don't Stop Me Now," Mer and Nathan face the press after the heroic deed that they performed in the previous episode. The two seem cozy and sweet during the press conference, especially when Nathan touches her intimately on the back.
Despite the roomful of people, Maggie notices the unusual sweetness between the two. It seems that she does not like what she is seeing, since she has been vocal about her interest in Nathan from the start.
Mer knows about her sister's crush on Nathan, which was the reason why she was not keen on pursuing a relationship with him in the first place. However, due to the events in the previous episode, Nathan managed to convince Mer to give their relationship a chance. In the trailer for the upcoming episode, Mer tells herself that Maggie will not forgive her because of it.
Yet in a previous interview with TVLine, McCreary shared that she believes that Mer and Nathan's relationships will not exactly be a big issue for the half-siblings after what they have been through when Maggie was dealing with her mother's death.
"But [on the other hand, Meredith and Maggie have] gone through something so extreme together, and I think the whole Nathan question has been completely irrelevant this whole time," the actress stated. "So when it comes up again, I think it becomes about weighing, 'Oh, there's this guy that I liked' against this life-and-death experience that they've shared."
Meanwhile, the synopsis for the episode also reveals that Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and April (Sarah Drew) will try to fix the issue between Richard (James Pickens Jr.) and Catherine (Debbie Allen). On the other hand, Eliza (Marika Dominczyk) will continue to convince Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) to have a relationship with her. The episode will also see the return of one of Alex's (Justin Chambers) former patients.
The next episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will air on ABC on Thursday, April 27, at 8 p.m. EDT.
