Rockstar Games is keeping mum about "Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6." As of right now, there are no official substantial updates regarding the game or the lack thereof. However, far-fetched rumors and fake trailers are in spades when it comes to the state of "GTA." In a sea of false information about the non-existent game, it can be difficult to differentiate truth from reality. Thus, this article has compiled the latest and most reliable data regarding the next sequel to "GTA."
According to the previous interviews with the developers, Rockstar's President Leslie Benzies has stated, "We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas. It comes from the idea first. Where it is going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you're doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the mission in."
This means that there is currently no plans yet regarding "GTA 6's" production, as Rockstar itself has even announced that it will be focusing on "GTA Online" for the time being. As of right now, there are also no official statements regarding the pre-production of the said game.
Still, players worried that the development studio might be running out of ideas need not fear, as it was Benzies himself who declared that they at Rockstar have about 45 years worth of plans for games. It's just that they still have some work to do in "GTA Online" before shifting their focus to a new game.
There are also rumors that Rockstar is not settling for just one city or region when it comes to "GTA 6," but maybe opting to recreate the entirety of the United States according to Trusted Reviews. However, this one is best taken with a grain of salt since it might prove to be impossible with the current or near-future limitations of gaming hardware.
Other than that, the game is expected to arrive sometime during the year 2020, which is quite a long wait. Fans may have to wait indefinitely since Rockstar has been known to take their time for their AAA games.
