'GTA V Online Heists' release next month, 'GTA V' for PC delayed to April

Grand Theft Auto V

Rockstar announced that the much awaited "GTA V Online Heists" will be coming to game consoles on March 10. New leaks also hinted that it will come with new weapons, vehicles and items.

The game developer confirmed in its website that the upcoming "Online Heists" will "bring a brand new 4-player cooperative gameplay experience to GTA Online, giving players the chance to team up to pull off a string of intense, multi-part raids and robberies across Los Santos and Blaine County. Over the next couple of weeks, we will have more information about the launch of Heists and about other new features that we will release with it."

Meanwhile, Twitter user Funmw4 leaked some of the purported additions in the "Online Heists" taken from screenshots of Rockstar videos. Based on the photos, the DLC will bring new vehicles including a helicopter and a 4x4 with installed Gatling gun. Gamers will also get new weapons like a shotgun and explosives as well as new items like night vision goggles, flare gun, and a drill.

Aside from "Online Heists," the game developer also announced the delay in the release of the PC version of "Grand Theft Auto V" from March 24 to to April 14. The company extended its apologies to the players who were waiting for the game. Rockstar said that it needs more time to "ensure that the game is as polished as possible."

To make amends for the inconvenience, Rockstar Games will gift those who pre-ordered the game with an additional $200,000 in-game cash for use in "GTA Online."

This is not the first time that the developer delayed the launch of the PC version of "Grand Theft Auto V." Originally, Rockstar Games announced in September that the PC version will be released on Jan. 27 due to some upgrades needed for the version. However, it pushed back the release to March 24 for "testing and polishing." Now, the release date has been pushed back a few weeks.
