Two nations aiming to make it to the grandest stage of football will collide this Friday at the Estadio Mateo Flores as Guatemala hosts Trinidad and Tobago for the fourth round of the 2018 Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) World Cup qualifiers.

Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago are in Group C with the United States and St. Vincent & the Grenadines.

The Soca Warriors will be heading to Friday's match with momentum since they defeated Guatemala in their last meeting in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup group stage (Group C).

Trinidad and Tobago bagged a 3-1 win in their last matchup held July with defenders Sheldon Bateau and Joevin Jones, with midfielder/forward Cordell Cato netting a goal each to seal the win.

For Los Chapines, only forward Carlos Ruiz scored in the match against Trinidad and Tobago.

In three games played in the group stage, Guatemala failed to secure a win which led to an early exit in the competition while Trinidad and Tobago advanced to the knockout stage on top of Group C with two wins and one draw.

Unfortunately, the Soca Warriors could not reach the semifinal round after losing in the quarterfinals to Panama who went on and finished third in the Gold Cup.

Now both Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago aim to begin their campaigns with a victory especially they are grouped with a powerhouse like the United States.

Both nations are coming off draws in their last outings with Los Chapines capturing a 1-1 draw in a friendly against Haiti while the Soca Warriors had a scoreless draw in an exhibition match with Nicaragua.

The first match in the fourth round of the qualifiers for Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago will be played this Friday, November 13 at 8 p.m. ET and to watch via live stream, click here.
