Cullen (Anson Mount) will find himself in the middle of a labor strike in the upcoming episode of AMC's "Hell on Wheels," Cartermatt reports.

In "White Justice," disgruntled Chinese workers will demand from Central Pacific the wages and treatment they rightfully deserve. Cullen will invariably be caught in the situation, trying to pacify the Asian laborers, and making sure that he still retains his job at the same time. Will he become a friend to the Chinese, or will Chang's (Byron Mann) brainwashing work on his own people? Viewers saw in the last episodes that there was no love lost between the two. Will the union worsen their conflict?

Meanwhile, the Swede (Christopher Heyerdahl) will try to manipulate Phineas (Josh Caras) to get the upper hand in his crusade against the Mormons. Will the young leader be used in a plot against his own people, or will he get wise to the Swede's evil plans? Also in episode 3, more conflict will arise among the former allies in Truckee.

Last episode, the Mormons were tasked to shovel snow out of the tracks so that Chinese workers could drag the locomotive aboard using a sled. They were unprepared for the rigorous work, and soon someone lost his toes due to frostbite. When Phineas asked his father for supplies, he was told that they would not be arriving until spring.

The Swede managed to ingratiate himself to the Mormon leader by negotiating with Huntington (Tim Guinee) to give the workers suitable work boots, which would be taken off their salary. The Mormons were happy with the arrangement and when they thanked the Swede, he told them it was Phineas' idea after all.

Cullen discovered several surprising facts in the episode. First, he found out that Chang was selling opium to the Chinese. The workers use the drug as a painkiller. Second, that Fong (A. Zhou) was actually a woman who disguised herself as a man so she could work at the railroad. Fong wanted Cullen to keep her secret. At first, he said he could not make any promises he would. But when she saved his life later, he realized that having her as an ally was not bad after all.

"Hell on Wheels" airs Saturday at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
