Netflix's House of Cards Season 3 release date may be delayed from its initial rumored launch of early 2015.

Executive producer Beau Willimon has been providing updates on the progress of the third season to fans via social media.

Last week, he posted a photo of writers hard at work on the script for the third series. On Feb 28 he provided another update, saying that the script for one episode is already complete.

He tweeted, "It's happening, folks. Binge-writing. One down, twelve to go."

On March 2, Willimon hosted a Q&A session at 5 p.m. ET on Twitter for fans to ask him anything about the show. He tweeted, "My 30 min @HouseofCards Q&A starts NOW! First come first serve. No Seas 3 spoilers! Ask away, my friends!"

After the brief Q&A session, Willimon tweeted,"WOW, thanx for the hundreds of questions! Sorry I couldn't get to them all but 30 min is up and I gotta get back to writing."

Filming for the third season was set to begin this Spring, but has been pushed back to June due to tax scuffles in Maryland, where the hit political drama is filmed.

The show's executives have fired back, threatening to film the show in another state.

Media Rights Capital Senior Vice President Charlie Goldstein wrote in a letter to the governor: "We appreciate your strong support for our business and for recognizing the jobs and economic impact it brings to the State of Maryland.

"We wanted you to be aware that while we had planned to begin filming in early spring, we have decided to push back the start date for filming until June to ensure there has been a positive outcome of the legislation. In the event sufficient incentives do not become available, we will have to break down our stage, sets and offices and set up in another state."
