HTC One 2 release date April? Specs, features include Duo Camera, 5 MP front camera, 2.3GHz processor

HTC One 2 listed on eBay eBay listing

The all new HTC One 2 (M8) handset has leaked again – this time in an eBay post which seemingly showed the specs listed on the back of its official box.

The box was made for Verizon, and gives fans an insight into the official specs of HTC's next flagship phone.

The photo of the listing can be seen here and the specs include a Snapdragon 801 2.3GHz processor, 5 inch display with 1920x1080 pixels, 2 GB RAM, BoomSound, 4G capability, and memory expandable up to 128GB.

It's no secret that the HTC One 2 (M8) will pack two cameras – and that has all been confirmed on the back of the box. The new feature is listed as Duo Camera with UltraPixel with BSI sensor, F2.0/28mm lens, ImageChip2 and HDR video tech.

The front camera is also very powerful at a whopping 5 megapixels with BSI sensor. Users will be able to use a wide lens feature with HDR and record 1080 HD video.

The phone sold for a low price of $499, which is much lower than what the retail price will be at time of launch.

Mobile phone giants have been coming out with quirky new covers for its flagship, and HTC seemingly joined the bandwagon when an official cover of the HTC One 2 was leaked by @evleaks on Twitter last week.

Twitter user @evleaks, who has a good track record for accurately predicting rumors of upcoming devices, recently posted photos of a pinhole cover accessory for the all new HTC One, which displays the time and weather.

The accessory is shown in a variety of colors – blue, orange and green, and bears the official HTC logo.

The HTC One 2 (M8) smartphone is slated to launch on Mar. 25, 2014, but fans already know what to expect to due to recent leaks of a full-on spec review and the eBay listing mentioned above. Following the launch, the smartphone is expected to be released around mid-April.
