HTC One M8 vs Apple iPhone 6 specs comparison: Which aluminum smartphone is better?

 HTC

HTC One M8 will go head-to-head with Apple's latest release, the Apple iPhone 6.

Apple made the iPhone 6 considerably sleeker and gave a boost to its operating system with the new iOS 8 and threw in several enhancements like new hardware which includes Apple's A8 processor, improved camera, and larger memory to name a few.

On the other hand, HTC's flagship phone, the HTC One M8, is Android's rebuttal to Apple's latest phone, sporting an aluminium case as well and a very similar design to the iPhone 6.

In terms of dimensions, the iPhone 6 is lighter at 129 g compared to the relatively hefty 160 g of the HTC One M8.

Both smartphones have an impressive design and an upscale form factor.

The HTC One M8 has a sleek, curved and contoured sophisticated design with a brushed aluminium texture and a gloss clear coat for a smooth finish.

On the other hand, Apple's iPhone 6 also sports an aluminium back panel and the same contoured edges as the HTC One M8. The main difference is their size and thickness. The Apple iPhone 6 is much thinner than the HTC One M8 and considered to be one of the thinnest smartphones in the market as of now.

In terms of display, HTC One M8 wins the round because of its higher pixel density of 469 ppi versus the 326 ppi of the Apple iPhone 6. It also has higher resolution than the iPhone 6 (1920 x1080 pixels versus the 1334 x 750 pixels of the iPhone 6).

The iPhone 6 comes with Apple's A8 processor which is a dual-core chip running at 1.4 GHz with 1 GB RAM.
