Huawei is currently scheduled to launch not one but two different high-end smartphones on Nov. 3, namely, the Huawei Ascend Mate 9 and the Ascend Mate 9 Pro. These new phones will be coming with a new, powerful dual lens rear camera.

According to a report from Android Authority, the information is based on a leaked manual. This new camera will be sporting the Summarit H 1:2.2/27 ASPH camera array that was also used in the Huawei P9. This dual lens setup reportedly uses a 20 MP sensor and a 12 MP sensor to create dynamic pictures.

It is also shown that the Mate 9 will feature a dual tone LED flash for optimal lighting when taking photos. Insider journalist Evan Blass also stated on Twitter that the two phones will be coming with 4X zoom, which is twice as powerful as the 2X zoom featured on the iPhone 7.

The manual also shows that the phones will have a microSD card slot, although it is undetermined at this point if the two phones will have different memory limitations. It is widely speculated that they will both allow up to 128 GB or 256 GB additional memory.

A USB Type-C port was also shown, although it is unknown if it will be completely replacing the traditional charging port as well as the 3.5mm earphone port. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus replaced these all with the USB Type-C and were poorly received by consumers.

With regards to the display, the Huawei Ascend Mate 9 is stated to come with a 5.9-inch curved edge, akin to the Samsung Galaxy Edge phones, and will be an improved QHD panel layered on top of a 1080p panel. Inside, it will be powered by a Kirin 960 processor and 6 GB of RAM.

Huawei has not yet announced any official price for the two phones, but Evan Blass has stated that the rumored suggested price, for the time being, is $1,300.
