It is highly speculated that the Huawei P9 series is composed of four variants, the P9, the P9 Plus, the P9 Lite, and the P9 Max. The first two have already been announced in a London event, while the remaining two have yet to come, if they do exist. Recently, a GFXBench result was uncovered featuring an unnamed device that sports a massive 6.9-inch display screen, which may very well be the rumored Huawei P9 Max.

The device in question, based on the GFXBEnch result, sports a HiSilicon-made octa-core 950 Kirin processor, Huawei's homegrown chip, that has a clock speed of 2.2 GHz. This is the same processor used in their Mate 8. Interestingly, the company didn't used the newer 955 processor currently installed in their P9 and P9 Plus devices.

It is then paired with an ARM Mali-T880 GPU that can support Open GL ES 3.1 and a loaded with a 3GB RAM. The massive display screen offers a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen resolution that supports at least 5-finger gestures.

A 32GB internal storage is also mentioned in the test result, plus a 16MP rear-facing camera that offers a maximum 4608 x 3456 resolution for still images and a FullHD 1920 x 1080 resolution for video footages. It features autofocus, face detection, HDR, touch focus and LED flash. The front-facing camera is capable of taking 8MP, 3264 x 2448 resolution photos and FullHD videos.

Additionally, the phablet will also be featuring Bluetooth, NCF and of course, Wi-Fi connectivity, plus standard sensors such as accelerometer, barometer, compass, GPS, gyroscope, light sensor, pedometer and proximity. It will only be containing a single SIM card.

Android Community added that the pixel density is at 319 ppi, a big letdown for the large screen. The P8 Max only features a FullHD screen as well.

There is no official word yet on when Huawei will officially announce the two remaining models.
