The fighting game by NetherRealm Studios "Injustice 2" has another playable comic book character that was just recently added on the game's roster -- specifically, the mysterious and magical Enchantress. As of Jan. 9, Enchantress is accessible by players who purchased a copy of "Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition," as well as those who purchased the Fighter Pack 3. However, those who only have the base form of the game will have to wait a bit.

In the teaser trailer showing off the new character, it is safe to assume that Enchantress is a character meant for the calculating type of fighting game player. Enchantress possesses a wide array of counter moves that turn opponents' offensive flurries around on them, as long as players can time the moves correctly. The aesthetics of the character seem to be on point as well, donning a green-themed costume.

On top of that, Enchantress also deals moves that are meant to misdirect her foes, by either teleporting to their backs, or disappearing before their very eyes -- only to land on top of them with an opportunity for a high damage output juggle. Enchantress mainly uses magic as the source of her powers, which are apparent in her use of green rays that come out of thin air, as well as an imprisoning cube that provides a good setup for a flurry of combinations.

Given the current meta of the gaming community, Enchantress provides a bevy of moves that could possibly cause a shift in the way that the game is currently being played. While she can be considered as a defensive character, she also has enough moves to punish opponents who choose to lie in wait with her ranged attacks. It is possible that if players can master Enchantress well, opposing players will have to remain on their toes.

Enchantress will be made available to all "Injustice 2" players on Jan. 16.
