NetherRealms Studios creative director Ed Boon is nonstop in teasing the characters that will make up the "Injustice 2" roster.

During his Twitter exchange with fans, Boon said that Firestorm has "a chance" to be part of the fighting game, although fans would not count on that as a fact.

He also said that it is "definitely possible" to have Batman villain Poison Ivy become a part of "Injustice 2." In fact, she is one of the most requested characters to be added in the game.

Boon also said that like Firestorm, "there is a chance" that the infamous DC Comics villain, Darkseid, will occupy a slot on the "Injustice 2" roster.

The creative director recently took fans' opinions regarding characters from "Mortal Kombat" and another completely different universe who can be added to the game's roster.

The fans voted Spawn from Image Comics and Sub-Zero as the "Mortal Kombat" character in "Injustice 2."

He also suggested the possibility of "Watchmen" characters joining the lineup after asking fans, a majority of whom voted in the affirmative, to add the icons from the Alan Moore cult favorite comic.

Meanwhile, fans also request for the inclusion of Black Canary, Constantine, Swamp Thing, Red Hood, Booster Gold, Godspeed, and Captain Cold among others.

Boon promises that "Injustice 2" will feature "lots of new characters" and that there are "There are so many more DC coming," although they are not ready to reveal them yet.

In any case, fans hope that the result of the Twitter polls that Boon did will have an impact on what the roster in the sequel will look like.

"Injustice 2" is in active development and is slated to release next year. A "focused marketing calendar" from retailer GameStop suggests that the fighting game will arrive in the first quarter of 2017.
