iOS 8.1.1 update to kill Pangu's iOS 8 Jailbreak

iOS 8 software

There is no better time to download and install the iOS 8 jailbreak but now, as Apple is reportedly set to roll out the iOS 8.1.1 update this week, addressing some of the bugs and security loopholes of the previous version of iOS 8.

Days after the iOS 8 mobile operating system landed on Apple devices, the Pangu Team announced that it came up with the iOS 8 jailbreak, surprising a lot of iOS users as well as developers since Apple is strengthening the security of its operating system to prevent any jailbreak.  The Pangu Team rolled out the iOS 8 jailbreak for the new iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus as well as iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad Mini, Retina iPad Mini, and iPod Touch 5G.  After a few mishaps and issues, Cydia developer Saurik confirmed that the iOS 8 jailbreak was pretty stable.

Earlier this month, a member of the Chinese jailbreaking team confirmed that Apple already rolled out the beta version of new update, iOS 8.1.1, to developers for scrutiny and testing. He added that the iOS 8.1.1 update will resolve some of the bugs and issues found in the iOS 8 and will kill future exploitation from Pangu and other iOS jailbreaking teams.

Apart from bug fixes and intensifying the security of the new iOS, Apple also confirmed that the upcoming patch will improve the performance of the iOS 8 on the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. However, Apple has not announced what is coming to the new OS update as well as its exact release date. Thus, users of iOS-based devices will have to wait and see until the Cupertino-based company rolls out the update.

Apple was under fire after it officially rolled out the iOS 8, which users found to be plagued with problems like battery draining and HealthKit bugs, and some issues with the iCloud Drive.
