iOS 8.2 jailbreak release date when official update rolls out

iOS 8.1.3 still brings problems to users

TaiG recently confirmed that it is working on the new jailbreak for iOS 8.2 and may release it when Apple rolls out the official version of the operating system.

The Chinese jailbreaking group announced in its website that it is almost done with the untethered jailbreak of the software. The group needed to work more on the software to ensure that it breaches the security traps that Apple developers laid out to prevent people from jaibreaking their phones.

TaiG is the developer behind the iOS 8.1 jailbreak that also worked up to iOS 8.1.2. However, the fun stopped when Apple rolled out the iOS 8.1.3 update that killed all of the working jailbreaks on iPhones and iPads.

Currently, the beta versions of iOS 8.2 and 8.3 are being seeded to developers, which are both expected to be rolled out soon. Apple opened the beta versions for testing and scrutiny to ensure that the operating system updates are free from bugs and issues. iOS 8 was plagued with bugs when it was released last year.

According to reports, iOS 8.2 will be a major update of the OS that will resolve most of the issues found in the handset, while the iOS 8.3 was seeded to developers with Wireless Carplay Support, new emoji picker and other improvements. It is speculated that the official version of iOS 8.2 will be available by mid-March.

Meanwhile, Apple is also expected to introduce the new iOS 9 at the Worldwide Developers' Conference in June. iOS 9 is codenamed Monarch and according to reports, its public beta is scheduled to be available in summer before its official roll out in fall to iPhone and iPad users. The new iOS 9 will reportedly be part of the AppleSeed program and registered members will be able to try out the operating system for feedback that will be used to further improve the software.
