iPhone 6S vs Galaxy S6: Apple to launch handset in spring 2015 to compete with Samsung?

Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile are all offering different subscription plans for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus phones. Facebook

A fresh batch of rumors claim that Apple will release a smartphone dubbed as iPhone 6S to come face-to-face with another rumored handset, the Samsung Galaxy S6. Both smartphones are said to be bound for release early next year.

With the changes made in Apple's product line, it is hard to guess what Apple has up its sleeve. Right now, the spring release window is empty after Apple moved the release of the iPad line in October. The rumor mill hints that Apple is prepping another handset after the immense success of the recently released iPhone 6.

While Samsung is reportedly decreasing the number of smartphones it would release each year, hearsays state that Apple is doing the complete opposite and is looking to increasing its products next year. The tech giant is said to be looking into condensing its product releases every six months just like Sony.

Meanwhile, some reports say that iPhone 6S will be released in September 2015, fueled by reports that Apple's supplier Pegatron will take as much as 50 percent of the orders. Apple is trying to allocate the units to avoid problems with the supply.

Currently, Pegatron is taking care of 30 percent of the total orders of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. The remaining 70 percent as well as all of the orders for the iPhone 6 Plus are undertaken by Apple's partner Hon Hai Precision Industry, also known as Foxconn Technology Group. This is to prevent the bumps in the supply flow that the company experienced in the past.

According to rumors, the iPhone 6S will include slight upgrades of the iPhone 6, but will retain its 4.7-inch screen panel. It will include features for the new Apple Watch.

There are other reports that the Cupertino-based company will also release iPhone 7. However, this should be taken with a grain of salt since nothing is concrete yet and Apple has not released any official statement regarding the rumors.
