Is Jinger Duggar courting Lawson Bates? Pair spotted together at Amy's wedding

After seeing this photo of the guests during Amy Duggar’s wedding, many fans of '19 Kids and Counting' are wondering whether Jinger Duggar is in a courtship with Lawson Bates. The two are seen at the rightmost part of the photo. (Facebook/Duggar Family Official)

Is Jinger Duggar really in a courtship stage with Lawson Bates from "Bringing Up Bates"?

The Duggar family from the cancelled TLC Christian TV reality show "19 Kids and Counting" might prefer to hush up any relationship news involving members of the family now that Josh is still undergoing rehab at Reformers Unanimous after being caught cheating on his wife Anna while using the hacked Ashley Madison adultery website.

However, Radar Online reported that eagle-eyed fans had spotted Jinger beside Lawson during cousin Amy's wedding earlier this September. Many believe that she brought him to the wedding as her significant other.

In the group photo the Duggars shared on their Facebook page, many commented what a beautiful couple Jinger and Lawson would make if indeed they were already dating.

Linda Brown Mesher wrote, "I love the Duggar Family and pray for them all. I love The Bates Family also! I hope Lawson courts Jinger!! And Josiah courts Carlin Bates!!"

"Is [there's] something we should know about Lawson and Jinger?!!!" Connie Mitchell asked. "They would make a perfect couple!!!"

Carol Murray Bowles added: "I love both of these families and it would be wonderful if they ended up having some of their children start courting each other."

Jinger and Lawson have been spending some time together away from prying eyes. On his Twitter account (@lawbates), Lawson shared a selfie he took with his friend, with Jinger photobombing on the background. "Gonna miss you bro! Safe travels back to Indonesia," he wrote.

The two haven't made any official announcement regarding their relationship status, but many are holding out hope that they would end up together.

Not all of the Duggar family's courtship relationships last, as witnessed in the fizzled romance between Josiah and Marjorie Jackson. After a few months of dating, the two decided that they would be better off as friends. Jim Bob and Michelle then issued a statement, saying, "Both Josiah and Marjorie have enjoyed getting to know each other and to build their friendship over the past months. A few weeks ago Marjorie and Josiah agreed to end their courtship, keeping in step with what they believe the Lord's will is."

It might just be me, but amongst all the myriad and somewhat valid objections raised, including by Christians, to "Assisted Dying" (read "Doctors Killing Patients" or "Doctors Helping Patients to Kill Themselves"), I haven't really seen the most important, indeed the all-decisive, one.
