There is no doubt that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" continues to be a popular title even today. Well, this evident by the remastered edition that developer Bethesda introduced a couple of months ago. Now, the question is: Will the title ever come to the Nintendo Switch?

It is worth noting that "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" has been confirmed for the console. While the announcement was a beautiful sight to see, nothing specific about its release date has been revealed ever since. Regardless, many were awed by the fact that the console was able to run a game with such complexity.

It cannot be denied that Bethesda has not been so eager to talk about progress made — if there is any — for the title on Nintendo Switch. Hence, fans are now wondering if the studio really wants to develop the game's port for the console. Interestingly, the video game company has shared some details.

According to Fandom, the studio's executive producer and game director Todd Howard confirmed that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is coming to Nintendo Switch.

"We love to make games and worlds that you can get lost in," he said. Howard emphasized how they have always thought of the idea of playing the game anywhere and wherever — something that the said console can offer.

As of this writing, Bethesda has not announced any official release date for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" for Nintendo Switch. Interestingly, in both the U.K. and U.S. Nintendo Store, the game is listed for release in either fall or autumn. Either way, it is definitely coming this year.

In related news, WCCFTech reports that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" became Game Informer's No. 1 role-playing game (RPG) of all time. This is definitely a huge milestone for the title, which continues to draw a huge following. The publication's Top 100 RPG list can be checked out here.
