'Jane the Virgin' season 3 news, episode 5 spoilers: Jane shares Anezka's secret; Michael and Rafael try to bond

Anezka (Yael Grobglas) may not be able to keep her cover as Petra for long, as Jane (Gina Rodriguez) has already started suspecting her. Meanwhile, Michael (Brett Dier) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) will try to bond but it will result in an awkward experience for both of them.

Previously in "Jane the Virgin" season 3, episode 4, Jane had a lot of embarassing moments with Petra, who was really Anezka trying to act as Petra. Jane tried to bridge the gap between her and Petra, but Anezka — knowing little of their history — ended up pushing Jane into the pool and cutting their ties for good.

At the end of the episode, Jane went to see Rafael and crossed paths with Petra, who was surprised to see her. This triggered Jane's memory of meeting Anezka. She hurriedly told Rafael that Petra may not be Petra after all, but her twin sister Anezka.

Since Rafael had already started being suspicious of Anezka because of her threatening and blackmailing, it is possible that he and Jane will work together to confirm that Petra is really Anezka and catch her in the act of pretending to be her twin.

Meanwhile, it seems that Michael and Rafael will be forced to bond with each other. According to the synopsis released by Spoiler TV for episode 5, "Jane convinces Alba (Ivonne Coll) to let her read the letters from her estranged sister, but under the condition Jane doesn't reach out to her family. Rafael is starting to suspect that something is different with Petra. Meanwhile, Michael and Rafael, with the help of Jane and Rogelio (Jaime Camil), try to create a civil friendship, but it doesn't go as smoothly as everyone hoped."

As seen from the episode promo, the two will be working out in the same gym. Michael will do his best to reach out to Rafael, but the latter seems a little unwilling to go ahead with their so-called bonding.

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 airs every Monday at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
