Jeremy Lin news 2015: Chicago Bulls trade most likely

Jeremy Lin has shown remarkable improvement and has been shining for the Charlotte Hornets. So with that said, why trade him?

Rumors have come out in the open linking Lin to a possible trade involving the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are lacking in a reliable point guard right now and Lin seems to be the target. What gives?

With Lin shining since his arrival in Charlotte, it does seem a bit surprising to hear him suddenly involved in trade talks. It is also, of course, a business but one would have to wonder why Steve Clifford would consider such a trade which doesn't seem to make any sense right now.

The aggressor here is obviously the Bulls and it remains to be seen if Clifford will bite. Kirk Hinrich is a shooting guard but his best years are pretty much way behind him. Although it will involve a draft pick, are the Hornets willing to let go of someone who has been a bright spot as of late?

For Lin, it remains to be seen if he would continue to shine under head coach Fred Hoiberg. The sudden change of environment is surprising, although having Lin spell out Derrick Rose does give him some sort of an upgrade.

More to that, Lin will be backed by some good players like Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol, and Joakim Noah which antes up the stakes as far as his value is concerned. But this is with the assumption that he syncs in with the Hoiberg system, of course.

For now these remain rumors and the sites feasting on it are far from the ones that could convince one to believe that this piece will go anywhere. The fact is the Bulls do need a point guard but it is also true that the Charlotte Hornets are not all that foolish to let go of Lin who has found a new lease on life buzzing and starring for the franchise as we speak.
