Joyce Meyer teaches Christians how they can protect God's plan for them

Joyce Meyer says that God has a unique plan for people's lives.

The more Christians become obedient to the Holy Spirit, the more they can protect God's plans for their lives, according to Joyce Meyer.

The popular Christian speaker and author wrote on her website that God has a unique plan for people's lives and so sometimes He might be stricter on some people than the others. "It's easy to get caught up in thinking, 'God, it's just not fair. How come they can do that and I can't?'" she said.

But Meyer said that people should stop comparing themselves to others and just trust that God knows better.

"We also need to understand that everything God asks us to do is for our own benefit. And if you consistently let God have His way in your life, you will always have joy," she assured.

Meyer also stressed that God's love is unconditional and He always forgives, but that doesn't mean that people should take advantage of His kindness. "It's important for us to examine our hearts and ask ourselves: What kind of attitude do I have toward God?" she said.

Meyer shared the story of Saul from 1 Samuel 10.  He was chosen to be the first king of Israel and the prophet Samuel tells Saul in verses 6 and 7: "The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you mightily, and you will show yourself to be a prophet with them; and you will be turned into another man. When these signs meet you, do whatever you find to be done, for God is with you."

Meyer explained that this only means people don't always have to have a word from God for every move they decide to take. "If God is with us, we can know in our heart what's right and wrong and we can be secure in the decisions we make," she said.

However, when God does gives people a specific word or assignment, it is important to carry out His instructions carefully.
