Justin Bieber praised for helping old lady who fell on street after alleged hit-and-run incident

Justin Bieber is now being called a 'hero' by his fans after he helped an old lady get up and safely cross the street after she fell down allegedly after being sideswiped by a speeding vehicle. Reuters

Justin Bieber used to make the news for driving recklessly and going on crazy brawls, but the Canadian pop star has long abandoned his old lifestyle and embraced that of a true Christian.

Bieber is so committed to living a new life that he took time off from his busy schedule to comfort and help an old lady who collapsed on the street after allegedly being hit by a speeding vehicle.

According to TMZ, the old lady was a victim of a hit-and-run incident and she was shouting for help while sprawled on the ground. When Bieber saw her, he stopped his car and tried to comfort the old lady while his friends flagged down the cops.

The old lady claimed that she simply fell down, but eyewitnesses said they saw a black SUV speed away after sideswiping the old lady.

She refused to get any medical attention when ambulances arrived, but she did allow Bieber to escort her across the street.

Bieber and his friends were reportedly going bar hopping that night when they encountered the old lady. When news of his good Samaritan act spread online, Bieber showed some humility when he tweeted: "It wasn't just me. We all did. And everyone would do the same thing."

The pop star's fans loved him all the more for his kindness and modesty. They raved about his "beautiful attitude" and even called him a "hero."

"I'm so proud of you," an enthusiastic fan tweeted back. "You are such an angel, you deserve all the love in the world."

Others did not agree with Bieber that every other passersby would willingly help the old lady. "I'm not quite sure everyone would do the same thing. Some people are just insensitive and passive. YOU ARE A GOOD HUMAN," someone commented.

"Sadly not everyone is a true disciple of Christ like you," another said.
