Justin Bieber says he's still trying to mend his broken heart; that's why he's still single

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is basking on the success of his new single "What Do You Mean," which shares his confusion and frustration over the complicated way girls think.

Naturally, the song raises questions about the Christian singer's love life, or lack thereof. In an interview with Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O, Bieber admitted that contrary to what some news outlets are saying, he has been single for a very long time.

"I haven't been in a relationship for a while now," the 21-year-old said. "I got my heart broken. I'm just trying to let that heal up."

A lot of people assume that because of his celebrity status, Bieber is constantly hooking up with several girls and even jumping from one relationship to another. But the singer clarified that it's not his style.

"I'm a relationship type of guy. I love to be in love, love cuddling. I love all that stuff," he said.

Bieber was also asked if he has really moved on from his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, since many die-hard fans have spotted her name in graffiti during one scene in the music video of "What Do You Mean." People immediately jumped to the conclusion that Bieber is still pining for her.

However, the singer said he had no idea whatsoever what her name was doing in his video. "I think that might be fake," he said. "It wasn't me that did that."

Incidentally, Selena also has a new music album out called "Revival." She explained why she exposed much of her skin in the album cover. "I've lived such a public life that I understand that I'm under a microscope," she told Entertainment Weekly. "That has taken me into so many different phases. It's made me depressed and it's made me happy and it's made me grateful and humble — but I've learned it's okay to let down my walls with my music, to feel sexy and good."
