Top Killjoys from around the Quad will compete with each other to find a legendary bounty hunter in the upcoming episode of Syfy's space adventure drama series.
In "One Blood," TV Guide reports that the best of the best will race against time to capture Big Joe, one of the finest Killjoys of all time, who has gone rogue. Khlyen (Rob Stewart) will assign Dutch (Hannah John-Kammen) for the mission, which will force John (Aaron Ashmore) and D'Avin (Luke Macfarlane) to combine forces with an old rival.
According to a sneak peak provided by Three if by Space, Khlyen has his own plans for the set up, and this will result in a more complicated matter for Dutch and the Jaqobis brothers. Also in episode 6, Dutch will be seen heading for a downed ship that contains something very valuable to all concerned.
Last episode, the three Killjoys boarded a seemingly abandoned cargo ship afloat in a meteoroid field. They discovered the hard way that it was not empty at all. Upon inspection, they saw dead bodies and an injured man named Hogan (Richard Clarkin). Hogan said he was a ship picker and that two years ago, his own vessel withdrew and left him stranded.
John and Dutch searched the ship and saw more creepy things — papers and ominous bloody writings of the number seventeen. They then learned that Hogan was actually a crew and not what he was pretending himself to be. They tried to warn D'Avin, but the cheat already nailed him unconscious.
In the torture chamber, D'Avin's secret was unknowingly revealed. It turned out that he killed his squad members, but someone put neutral blocks in his brain to make sure he would not remember anything. Dutch and John were horrified, but since D'Avin was already part of their team, they did not abandon him.
At the end of the episode, Dutch's ex-mentor blackmailed her to come with him, threatening to kill John if she did not. She had no choice but to obey and Khlyen chastised her for it, saying her love for her "little family" made her weak.
"Killjoys" airs Friday at 9 p.m. EST on Syfy.
