"Kirby Battle Royale" is coming to Nintendo 3DS in January 2018. A brawler top-down perspective video game published by Nintendo, players control the titular hero Kirby and a roster of other characters as they beat down foes.

While it will be awhile before the game is released, a demo is now available for fans in Europe. According to Nintendo Everything, the demo will allow players to carry over their saves once they have the full game, and not only that, it will also give them access to Meta Knight. It is not sure whether this will only be available to players in Europe.

The reveal trailer for "Kirby Battle Royale" was uploaded onto Nintendo's YouTube channel in September.

Based on what has been revealed so far, Kirby will be entering a tournament to face off against his rival. Players will jump into the pink hero's shoes and will have to use a combination of his different abilities to beat his rival. Some of the abilities showcased in the trailer include Kirby's ability to create giant tornadoes and formidable ice structures.

Online and Local mode will be available. Players will not only be able to fight against a slew of online players but in local mode, they will also be able to go toe-to-toe with friends who have also purchased "Kirby Battle Royale."

Aside from that, the game will feature 10 different battle modes: Apple Scramble, Battle Arena, Coin Clash, Attack Riders, Crazy Theater, Rocket Rumble, Robo Bonkers, Slam Hockey, Ore Express and Flagball.

Apple Scramble will be a team-based, apple-picking contest; Battle Arena will be a no holds barred, free for all fight fest; Coin Clash will be a race to collect coins; Crazy Theater will have players completing objectives to win and it comes with a two-versus-two mode that will have players collecting points in hopes of defeating the opposing team.

Rocket Rumble sees the characters collecting green cubes and bringing them back to their rocket; Robo Bonkers features players fighting against Robo Bonkers; Slam Hockey has the players competing in a hockey game; Ore Express is a race to collect ore and move them into carts. Lastly, Flagball has players teaming up in a ball game of sorts.

The diverse game modes ensure that players will be enjoying Kirby for quite a good while.
