Both fans and players of National Basketball Association (NBA) are having a hard time keeping their head in the game since the player trade deadline for the NBA is less than a month away. This is aggravated for some like Jordan Clarkson since rumors say that his stay with the Los Angeles (LA) Lakers is nearing an end.

As per some critic predictions, there are currently three teams which Clarkson may be transferred off to, namely the Detroit Pistons, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Philadelphia 76ers. The former two are some of the most successful and popular NBA teams this season, which is good for Clarkson. It should be noted that these are just potential destinations for Clarkson.

Clarkson would be an appropriate trade for the Pistons since he can be considered as an immediate upgrade for both Ish Smith and Langston Galloway. This is because his per game average is only slightly lower than that of both combined, making him quite valuable for the Pistons.

Meanwhile, for the Timberwolves, Clarkson could take the role of the go-to bench scorer and even replace Jamal Crawford for this role. That said, depending on who they are trading Clarkson for, the Lakers might have a hard time giving him away.

As for the 76ers, or simply Sixers, Clarkson would be a much-needed boost to the young team since they are in urgent need of pure scorers right now despite having a lot of talented playmakers. This is one of Clarkson's strengths in the court, where his primary objective is to put the ball in the basket, and the Sixers could certainly benefit from his talent.

Wherever Clarkson may be traded off to, his strength as a precise bench and guard will be appealing to those who are looking to remedy the two aspects or weaknesses. This is shown in his stats, where he has averaged 14.2 points per contest while shooting a career-best 45.1 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from behind the arc in a total of 39 games this season.

Clarkson's destination in the NBA will be determined once the trade deadline happens on Feb. 8.
