Chinese phone manufacturer LeEco has recently unveiled the Le Max 2, a 5.7-inch premium phone, that houses the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and either 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. It also has no headphones jack, but rather, a USB Type-C port that will be able to accommodate new generation digital headphones. This is just one of their three new phones.

Engadget reported that the LeEco Le Max 2 display screen offers a QHD LCD that boast a 1440p resolution. Its internal storage options include a 32 GB or 64 GB, and these are both equipped with the latest UFS 2.0 interface. Faster download speed can be achieved on the phone because of its tri-band carrier aggregation support. However, there is no external storage available for the phone.

The main camera is pegged at 21 MP, equipped with Sony's IMX230 CMOS sensor that features a PDAF and OIS, while the front features an 8 MP camera. It also has a dual-band Wi-Fi chipset that will work on the older 2.4 GHz and the newer 5 Ghz wireless routers, plus Bluetooth 4.2 for other accessories. A finger print scanner is located underneath the main-camera.

The Le Max 2 will be coming with a fast-charging-capable 3,100 mAh battery and an Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with the company's own EUI 5.8 interface.

The audio will be pushed out through its USB Type-C port, assisted by LeEco's own Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) technology.

Currently, the LeEco Le Max2 will be available in China then in India. There is no news yet if an international release is possible in the future. The 4 GB RAM/32 GB ROM is around US$325, while the bigger 6 GB RAM/64 GB ROM is around US$382, AnandTech reported.

During the said event, two other phone units were also unveiled, the Le 2 and Le 2 Pro, but it didn't end there. The event also featured LeEco's Super Vehicle, a self-driving electric car, and Super TV.
