LG has recently announced the second installment of its radically-designed device. Coming as the upgrade for the 2013 release LG G Flex, the LG G Flex 2 is making its way to the tech world in February. For the lovers of LG's curved smartphone offerings, the dilemma dwells in choosing between the old and the new. For those new to the idea of a bent body on a smartphone, both handsets should not fail to dazzle.

The LG G Flex comes with an enormous 6-inch Curved P-OLED display that generates a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and a 245 ppi pixel density. The Flex 2 comes with a smaller package but with far sharper graphics. Its 5.5-inch display elicits an impressive 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and a 403 ppi pixel density.

Under the hood, the Flex 2 proves to be a significant jump from its predecessor. The Flex packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26 GHz, while the Flex 2 is the first to house Qualcomm's latest processor, the Snapdragon 810, which has four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and the other four set a 2 GHz. The original Flex smartphone offers a lone 32 GB model paired with 2 GB RAM. Its successor comes with 16 GB memory with 2 GB of RAM, while it also has a 32 GB variant coupled with 3 GB of RAM.

Camera-wise, both are loaded with a 13-megapixel rear-facing shooter that allows HD video recording. However, the Flex 2 puts forward optical image stabilization and shoots 2160p at 30 frames per second. Both bring in 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooters. Flex's 3500 mAh battery can last up to 15 hours. The Flex 2 is expected to outlast this although reports are saying that LG is opting for a 3000 mAh unit.

As per GSM Arena, the LG G Flex is sold for 360 euro. The LG G Flex 2 is expected to be sold for 600 euro when it is released this Februrary or in March.
