LG Nexus 2015 specs: 5-megapixel front-facing camera

Search engine giant Google is expected to unveil its latest LG Nexus and Huawei Nexus devices this year. According to the latest rumors, the LG Nexus and the Huawei Nexus could be unveiled sometime this October.

Recently, VR Zone reports that a Google employee had posted a selfie on the Google+, confirming the upcoming LG Nexus 2015 will sport a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. However, this should be taken with a grain of salt.

According to earlier reports, the LG Nexus 2015 would have a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 4-megapixel camera on the front that comes with iris scanning technology. VR Zone adds that the 5-megapixel front shooter features an f/2.0 aperture lens, enabling it to perform under low light conditions as well.

In addition, new details also recently surfaced providing specifications for the upcoming Nexus handsets. The LG Nexus 2015 is rumored to sport a 5.2-inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution.

Techno Buffalo reports that the LG Nexus 2015 could come with a power button along with a fingerprint reader and support for USB Type-C port connection. Last week, an image of an LG Nexus 2015 prototype surfaced, confirming the new phone will come with a fingerprint scanner on its back.

Under the hood, the LG Nexus 2015 could pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor, according to the latest rumors, along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of built-in memory capacity. Uber Gizmo reported that the new phone might be powered by a large 3,180 mAh battery.

As for software, the LG Nexus 2015 is expected to run on the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 version operating system (OS). On the other hand, the Huawei Nexus is rumored to sport a larger phablet size 5.7-inch display screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, and will run on the Android Marshmallow OS as well.
