Liverpool transfer news, rumours: Will Brendan Rogers replace Luis Suarez with Wilfried Bony or Antoine Griezmann?

Luis Suarez has certainly left big boots to fill at Liverpool and the chase is on to find the next striker to replace the fiery Uruguayan.

The Reds may have lost a brilliant forward but FC Barcelona has certainly handed Brendan Rogers a generous sum of money to play with - close to £75m, according to Sky Sports.

Talks took place between the two clubs on July 2 and the final formalities just need to be completed now before Luis heads over to Spain in the biggest deal of the summer.

The Bleacher Report names Wilfried Bony and Antoine Griezmann as potential new arrivals at the club, as well as defender Ben Davies.

There were reports in the last few days that Liverpool was pulling together a £20m bid for Griezmann, who put on an impressive display for France during the World Cup.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is also apparently eyeing the French player as he seeks to strengthen Spurs' attacking line ahead of the start of the Premier League.

The Metro reports Pochettino is also vying for Swansea striker Bony, with an £18m bid.
