Over the past few months, rumors have been insisting that there will be at least two new notebook computers coming out from Apple, and those would be the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro 2016.

Unfortunately, what the rumor mill hasn't revealed is when people might actually be able to reasonably expect the arrival of these new devices, but there now appears to be new information which could lead to at least the development of a possible time frame.

According to Neurogadget, both the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro 2016 will most likely be in stores as soon as units of the Apple MacBook begin to dwindle.

Another sign people can look out for in terms of possible indicators that Apple may be gearing up to release the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro 2016 is when the company begins to offer massive discounts for their older models, according to Yibada. It's basically the same reasoning behind why Apple might be waiting for units to start running out before they officially launch the new notebook computers.

Apple has reportedly adopted this approach for both the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro 2016 in part because the company has not been satisfied with the current sales figures of the MacBook.

It's worth noting that both of these notebook computers were actually expected to show up at Apple's big event held earlier this month, although the company ultimately decided to go in a different direction. What that absence could hint at, however, is that there's still a chance that both notebook computers could debut far sooner than expected.

Right now, there are rumors suggesting that the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 could be released in October.

Apple has done well so far in keeping the release date for both devices under wraps and that figures to be the reality until the company decides they are ready to make the big reveal.
