Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee recently revealed the secrets to their happy union as they shared the Bible verses which they say help them keep the flame of their marriage and love life alive.

Manny posted a selfie with his wife on his Instagram account (@mannypacquiao) and captioned it with the verse Ephesians 5:25. It says, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it."

For her part, Jinkee shared a photo of her and Manny on her Instagram account (@jinkeepacquiao), with the boxer lying down contentedly on her lap. She then shared the verse 1 Peter 3:7, and it says: "In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God's gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered."

Manny and Jinkee have had their share of problems in marriage, especially before when Manny occasionally indulged in booze, gambling, and women. However, when the boxer met God and converted into Christianity, he turned his life around and became a more devoted husband and father. Whereas before he would waste his money gambling, now the boxer would invest it in community service and other charitable works.

This is why Jinkee spoke from experience when she said, "Love never gives up and does not keep a record of being wronged."

The doting wife believes that whatever troubles married couples, the only solution is to "pray and forgive." This is the same advice she gave to those people struggling with physical abuse and financial woes.
