Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather 2 fight news 2015: Mayweather's next fight could be shown for free on network TV?

Following a lackluster fight against Manny Pacquiao in which he won brilliantly, the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather's next fight which may be his last this September might be shown for free on network television.

Mayweather said following his win over Pacquiao that he will be stepping in the ring for the last time on September 12.

A number of possible opponents and challengers already expressed their interests to take on the 38-year-old in possibly his final career-bout.

Pacquiao is on the top of that list as a rematch will always be considered, Khan who has been very persistent follows.

Undefeated boxers Keith Thurman and Kell Brook are also options but Mayweather already have two sluggers in mind namely Karim Mayfield or Andre Berto.

Mayweather's next fight will be his last under his contract with CBS and multiple reports suggest that the bout might be shown for free on CBS.

"The preference instead may be a prime-time broadcast windfall with advertising rates which could rival that of a Super Bowl," David Mayo of Mlive.com reported.

Mayo added that the fight can be held in the new arena being constructed in Las Vegas.

"A broadcast fight could serve as prelude to a career finale to open that arena, perhaps a rematch with Pacquiao, but with an extra 4,000 seats to sell," Mayo said.

A free showing of the possibe rematch will be a good idea following their fight last May in which disappointed fans who paid to see the fight saw Mayweather outclass Pacquaio with his defense.

The defensive strategy Mayweather used plus Pacquiao's shoulder injury made the fight lack action the fans wanted to see.

It even led to lawsuits as a number of par-per-view consumers sued the former eight-division champion Pacquiao for fighting with an injury which his camp says hindered his movements during the bout.
