With Bioware's upcoming open world role playing shooter video game, "Mass Effect: Andromeda," scheduled to be released sometime next year, the studio has continued to release details about the new galaxy that players will be jumping into in the next game. Now, the latest information that the company has chosen to share with gamers are details regarding the game's various types of missions that can be undertaken outside of the main storyline.

A truly open world video game wouldn't really be complete without the addition of side quests and missions. These open ended missions really give players the option to explore and take on different tasks without really affecting the flow of the game's main campaign. "Mass Effect" video games are of course well-known for these types of missions, as is with other games from "The Elder Scrolls" and the "Fallout" franchises, among others.

In a post from Game Informer, several details about the new game's missions were revealed. According to the report, several mission types that were found on the original trilogy will still be featured in the new game. These include the standard exploration missions using the game's new Nomad vehicle and the standard loyalty missions for the player's crewmates. The big difference, however, is that loyalty missions will now be less tied to the core story of the game and exploration missions will now entail a myriad of new diversified objectives.

Through the report, the game's producer Mike Gamble also explains that players who will be exploring different planets may be encountering different levels of hostile forces that will include enemy bases and hideouts. It was also revealed that taking out these bases will be a lengthy and grueling endeavor, which means that players should prepare themselves before deciding to jump into the task.

Players will also apparently encounter over-leveled bosses in different areas. Majority of them would be too much for players to handle early on in the game, but they could always decide to come back when they are more capable.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is scheduled to be released in spring 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
