Two teams starting their respective preseasons in opposite directions will meet today, Monday, when the Memphis Grizzlies pay the Cleveland Cavaliers a visit at the Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

The Grizzlies have won their first two preseason games and are looking for their third consecutive against the Cavs.

Memphis first edged the Houston Rockets 92–89 for its first win then defeated Israeli team Maccabi Haifa 97–84 for their second victory.

In their most recent triumph, All-Star center Marc Gasol led Memphis with 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, and four blocks.

Helping the 2013 Defensive Player of the Year was the backcourt tandem of guards Courtney Lee and Mike Conley.

Lee had 11 points, one rebound, two assists, and one steal; while Conley tallied 10 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have yet to win a game in two outings already in this year's preseason.

The Cavaliers were defeated by last season's Eastern Conference Finals foes the Atlanta Hawks 98–96 in their first preseason game and again lost another close one 115–114 facing the Philadelphia 76ers last Thursday.

Playing without franchise star LeBron James, reserve guard Jared Cunningham led Cleveland in the loss to the 76ers, exploding for 31 points, four rebounds, and three assists in 31 minutes played.

Last year's shocker, guard Matthew Dellavedova, had 13 points, four rebounds, five assists, and one steal in a losing effort.

Along with James, guards Kyrie Irving and J.R. Smith, forward Kevin Love, and center Timofey Mozgov also sat out the game against the 76ers.

Still without these players, the Cavs had led by as much as 19 points, but the 76ers managed a comeback and a three-pointer by reserve guard Scottie Wilbekin with 1.3 seconds remaining in the game sealed the win for Philadelphia.

The game between the Grizzlies and Cavaliers will be held today, Oct. 12, at 7:00 p.m. EST. To watch via live stream, click here.

Faith is often accompanied by uncertainty, yet it is in stepping forward that we encounter the power of God. The Israelites learned this at the Jordan River, where God performed a miracle only after they demonstrated obedience.
