Miami Heat roster news 2015: Goran Dragić struggling [VIDEO]

The Miami Heat currently sit at 5–3 in the NBA Eastern Conference standings but looking at how the team is running, the ball club could do better. Apparently, there is still a feeling out of sorts within the team but surprisingly, it involves someone who joined the team earlier than the others.

The player in mention is Goran Dragić, who was brought in to bolster the backcourt. After showing promise last season, expectations were high this year that the Slovenian hotshot would be more at ease with his teammates.

But such is not the case and Dragić is struggling a bit. Is he having trouble adjusting and co-existing with the other big names in the Heat fold?

When he was in Phoenix, Dragić was used to have a spread floor seeing that he had the space to operate. With the Heat, that hasn't been the case with Dwyane Wade failing to spread the floor properly.

Dragić has been playing alongside Wade and Mario Chalmers, technically placing him at a stretch small forward position which is obviously meant to get the Heat up and running. But unfortunately, it seems Dragić is not suited for this kind of setup.

In all, Dragić is a far cry from the explosive and effective player that made him one of the more sought after players last season. Could he do well leading a second unit?

Some may look at such as a demotion but the thing is Dragić is having problems with the stellar starting unit of the Heat. In that scenario, he could probably perform better with the usual pick-and-rolls and allow other players to do their work.

The thing is, there is a chemistry problem between Dragić and Wade and while they may not be aware of it, such is hindering the Heat from scorching.

It may be time to do some adjustments for the Heat if they want to utilize Dragić efficiently, and it could start by demoting the Slovenian (temporarily) in the second unit first before figuring a way to fit him in the starting unit.

But the question now is on whether or not Dragić would be fine with that scenario.
