Apple is rumored to be launching its biggest tablet yet in the form of the iPad Pro. Microsoft, on the other hand, is expected to release the fourth and latest iteration of its mega successful Surface Pro device. These products are reportedly up for an October rollout, but which one will emerge on top?

According to reports, Apple has enlisted Sharp for its giant tablet's 12.9-inch Open Cell LCD screen. It is speculated that the device will get Force Touch, a feature believed to be the major selling point on top of it being a bigger iPad iteration.

On the other hand, it is rumored that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be relatively smaller at 12 inches. The 2-in-1 device is reportedly faster and better both graphics- and performance-wise and it's all thanks to the new ultra high-grade Intel Skylake processor.

Both are expected to be thin and sleek despite their hefty packages. Microsoft's new offering is said to be bigger than its predecessor but is slimmer and is keeping the same form factor. The docking station used in the Surface Pro 3 should be made compatible with it, too.

The iPad Pro is getting an assisted stylus, while the Surface Pro 4 will have the signature Surface Pen. For the rest of the features, there isn't much known about the new iPad, although it is assumed to be one of the first devices to run Apple's new iOS 9, which should run nicely with an A9 processor driving the big device.

The upcoming Surface tablet is said to come with a 13-megapixel camera, which should be able to shoot 1080p videos at 60 frames per second as well as 4K clips that run at 30 frames per second. The Apple iPad Pro is expected to get a hefty shooter to boot, too.

By October, users are likely to see the devices clash.
