The new update is coming for "Minecraft" Pocket and Windows 10 Edition before the end of the year, according to an announcement from Mojang.

The 1.0 Ender Dragon Update will come out with the game's third dimension called The End and introduce the Ender Dragon to the mobile and Windows 10 version of the best-selling sandbox survival video game.

In a post on Windows Blog, "Minecraft" Team representative Aubrey Norris revealed that the update aims to offer most of the well-loved features of the original "Minecraft" PC edition to the mobile and Windows 10 version of the game. The introduction of The End dimension will also remove the new edition's beta label.

Mojang also announced on its official website that The End dimension will also increase the world height blocks on "Minecraft" Pocket and Windows 10 Edition from its current 128-block world height to 256 blocks. "You also get the snazzy new Elytra, known to the average human as 'wings.'" The game developer also stated. "They'll give you a whole new perspective on your Minecraft worlds as you float around free as a bird. A bird who can't fly upwards but is super good at gliding," they went on to say.

More features are also expected to be included in the upcoming update, but Mojang prefers to keep its silence about it at the moment. "We think it would be more fun if you find them out yourselves," the game developer said.

Mojang also mentioned that players who use their Android devices for the game can join the beta testing for the update by signing up on their website. But they reminded those who will join the beta that they should expect to see bugs and other glitches since they are still working on the update, which they can report on the game's feedback forum.

The official release date of the "Minecraft" Pocket and Windows 10 Edition 1.0 Ender Update is expected to be announced in the coming days.
