Moto G release date, specs, rumors: LTE and Ferrari variants, plus Moto X and 3 variants of 4.3-inch handset to release later this year

Will Motorola release two different versions of its middle of the range smartphone the Moto G?

That's the latest speculation following a report from the Mexican website Xataka featuring an image supposedly of two new Moto G variants.

These unconfirmed devices are going by the name of Moto G LTE - presumably an LTE-enabled version of the budget friendly Moto G - and the Moto G Ferrari.

As the name suggests, the Moto G Ferrari is reportedly going to be a Ferrari branded special edition of the Moto G.

The image leak comes after a report last week that Motorola is going to be bringing out a cheaper version of the Moto G, although the Ferrari themed edition is reportedly going to have a slightly higher price tag because of the luxury car connection.

The Moto G was released just last November and LTE variant is expected to have similar specifications - 4.5-in display with 1280x720p resolution, powered by Snapdragon 400, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 5-mp rear camera, and running Android 4.4 KitKat software.

However, the LTE version is expected to come with only 16GB rather than having the two options of 8GB or 16GB, like the standard Moto G.

The Moto G LTE and Moto G Ferrari are tipped for release some time around June in Mexico and are just two of several devices rumored to be released by Motorola this year.

These include the Moto X - also being labelled the Moto X+1 - and three variants of a 4.3-inch handset going by the labels XT1021 with a single SIM, the XT1022 with dual-SIM, and the XT1025 with dual-SIM and digital TV.
