2K Games officially announced the first details of the upcoming "NBA 2K18."

Based on the promotional photo posted on the game developer's website, legendary NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal will be featured on the cover of the Legend Edition of the next installment of the best-selling basketball simulation video game.

Reports reveal that "NBA 2K18" Legend Edition will have two versions. The first one is the Standard version were players will receive a 100,000 start-up VC, 20 MyTeam packs every week, and a lot of other O'Neal-themed bonuses.

On the other hand, the Gold version will provide 250,000 start-up VC for players, as well as more O'Neal-related bonuses compared to the Standard version.

Those who will pre-order any of the versions from participating retailers will be given an Early Tip-Off Access on Sept. 15, which means they will be able to play the game four days earlier than its scheduled release date.

In the announcement trailer, O'Neal expressed his appreciation for being featured in the new version of "NBA 2K" game.

"I want to thank NBA 2K for their continuous support of my basketball and broadcast career," O'Neal stated. "I'm excited to be on the cover of the NBA 2K18 Legend Edition and I hope my fans have a blast playing it up big man style and re-creating my most legendary in-game moments!"

This will be the first time O'Neal will be featured on the cover of an "NBA 2K" game. The first one was on "NBA 2K6," while the other is on "NBA 2K7." However, this is the first time he will be on the cover of the game's Legend Edition.
