'NCIS: LA' season 8 episode 4 spoilers: Kensi being sidelined in favor of Daniela Ruah's pregnancy?

A promotional still for "NCIS: LA" CBS

The upcoming episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 14, titled "Black Market," will once again see Nell (Renee Felice Smith) taking the reins as Kensi (Daniela Ruah) recuperates.

The new season started bad right off the bat for Kensi, who was injured in the helicopter accident in the premiere. She is still in a coma, and it is unclear if she will ever recover.

Some media outlets are starting to think that Kensi might bite the dust soon. While that is still up in the air, what's sure is that she will definitely be out of action in "NCIS: LA" season 8.

Nell joins the team in her place come "NCIS: LA" season 8 episode 4. She returned in the previous episode where she helped take down a couple of criminals.

In real life, Ruah is expecting her second child with husband David Olsen. This could be the reason the star is being sidelined early in "NCIS: LA" season 8 — to hide her baby bump.

Fans will remember that at the San Diego Comic-Con, during an interview with TV Line, the actress said that the writers came up with a storyline to hide her pregnancy as it will not be written in the show.

Ruah describes the storyline as "stronger" as it includes the relationship of Kensi and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) in the equation as compared to the first approach during her first pregnancy.

This means that while Kensi will still likely be benched in "NCIS: LA" season 8 episode 4, she will not be killed off from the show.

In the previous episode, Deeks proposed to Kensi while still in the intensive care unit, treating fans of the most awaited "Densi" moment for "NCIS: LA" season 8.

It does not look like a wedding will happen this season, and Carter Matt believes that this new chapter of the couple's life will happen in upcoming seasons, with the site confident the show will be renewed based on its current ratings.

The synopsis for the episode reads: "After a Homeland Security agent is poisoned by a notorious Triad assassin, NCIS uncovers a warehouse of counterfeit purses and a money trail to stolen government funds. Also, Nell joins the team in the field."

"NCIS: LA" season 8 episode 4, "Black Market," is scheduled to air on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

More recently, I’ve enjoyed Christian movies Unsung Hero and Jesus Revolution on limited release in the UK, but it’s rare for such films to make the multiplex chains.
