Callen (Chris O'Donnell) will be roomies with his father Garrison (Daniel J. Travanti) this season on "NCIS: Los Angeles." The series returns from its two-week break and will be putting Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) on the field in episode 4.

TV Guide reports that Garrison will be having a big comeback in the eighth season of "NCIS: Los Angeles." According to executive producer Scott Gemmill, Callen will be roommates with his father Garrison for a short while and the two will become closer to each other – a bit literally – in this short time.

Gemmill explains that Callen will be getting himself into a "be careful what you wish for" situation when his father starts living with him.

"Callen, who's spent his whole life looking for family, suddenly finds himself with family. He's used to his privacy in his space, and it takes some getting used to ... having a family member living with him," said Gemmill.

The two may not have spent a lot of time together before, but it is anticipated that their future living situation will strengthen their bond as family.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" returns from their two-week break with episode 4, titled "Black Market." According to the synopsis released by The Futon Critic: "After a Homeland Security agent is poisoned by a notorious Triad assassin, NCIS uncovers a warehouse of counterfeit purses and a money trail to stolen government funds. Also, Nell joins the team in the field."

Movie News Guide revealed that Nell Jones will be taking Kensi Blye's (Daniela Ruah) spot in solving the new case in episode 4 while she is still in the ICU recovering from her injuries.

Previously in "NCIS: Los Angeles," Kensi went down with the helicopter she was on when they were shot down by mercenaries in Syria. She was brought back to the U.S. with her life on the line, but luckily she managed to survive. However, she is still under observation in the hospital's ICU.

Instead of working in the squad room, Nell will be part of the moving team to capture the culprits behind the "Black Market."

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
