With Kensi (Daniela Ruah) finally waking up from her coma, fans were relieved to see that the character is finally out of harm's way.

However, Kensi waking up is only the first step in her long road to recovery, one that she must travel along with her beau Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), who proposed to her while she was still in a coma. The fact that she was not able to move her other arm when she woke up promises further problems that will keep her sidelined for some parts of the season.

"I think this is going to serve as another great obstacle that either turns into a foundation for betterment of the relationship, one of these things that they use as just another rock to build this foundation ... or an obstacle which becomes a roadblock. ... And I don't know the answer to that. That's why I'm answering this as a hypothetical, because we're not that far along with it," Olsen explained in an interview with TV Guide.

Meanwhile, with Kensi surviving her ordeal, another character is rumored to bid the show goodbye and speculations are high in the rumor mill that it could be Miguel Ferrer's character Owen Granger who will go. Recently debunked reports indicated that Ferrer suffered from a stroke but there was no confirmation from the actor or the show about his current health conditions.

The report added that Ferrer's departure from the show was further fueled by a hint dropped his co star LL Cool J, who said that Ferrer might be the character who will leave the show. It didn't help that eagle-eyed fans noticed that it has been a while since Ferrer joined the set.

His appearance in the trailer of "Twin Peaks" also hinted that he may be leaving the show in favor of the latter.

Meanwhile, Callen will have to go undercover at a mental institution in the next episode, entitled "Crazy Train."

"Callen (Chris O' Donnell) goes undercover as a patient in a mental health hospital to search for an NSA agent who disappeared while tracking an ISIS cell trying to cross the Mexican border."

"NCIS: Los Angeles" airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
