'NCIS' season 13: Team investigates abduction of college-age girls

"NCIS" season 13 returns this week after taking a quick break following the two-hour crossover special.

As stated in the synopsis report from TV Guide, the team will delve deeper into the case of a murdered seaman, who was scheduled to testify before the court.

As the team, led by Gibbs (Mark Harmon), works on the case, they uncover an international human-trafficking ring, which was long thought to be shut down. It appears that the ring is still operational and as seen from the preview, Ellie (Emily Wickersham) said that college-age girls were abducted to be sold to the highest bidders around the globe.

Elsewhere in the episode, McGee (Sean Murray) will be forced to spend the night at someone else's house as a strong storm will result to power loss in the city. Fans should tune in to find out whom he will be spending the night with. Will McGee be sleeping at Dinozzo's (Michael Weatherly)?

It would be an exciting and fun episode if McGee and Dinozzo get together for a night, as the two have always had a love-hate relationship. It would also mean that it will be a night for fans and the characters to remember if the two will indeed get together in that episode, since it was already announced that Weatherly will be leaving the show.

The actor who remarkably portrays the silly Dinozzo will leave the series after season 13. Many speculated that Cote de Pablo, who played Ziva, will return when Dinozzo makes the exit, but to the disappointment of many, it won't be happening.

It was already confirmed by CBS president Glenn Geller that the writers are working on how to write out Dinozzo from the story and bringing back Ziva was not in the plan.

"They are working on how Michael's character is going to be written out. Gary [Glasberg] and the producers are working on that right now," Geller said at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

"NCIS" airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
