There have been rumors that Michael Weatherly will be returning as Tony DiNozzo in "NCIS" season 14, while the rest of NCIS try to snatch up Tony's incredible apartment. On the other hand, has Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) become a liability for the team?

At the end of season 13, Tony DiNozzo decided to leave NCIS to honor Ziva's death (Cote de Pablo) by putting their daughter's interest first. His exit left a lot of "NCIS" fans clamoring for his return to the series.

Several reports point out that Weatherly might be appearing in "NCIS" season 14 soon to reprise his role of Tony DiNozzo. However, according to E! News, Tony will not be returning to NCIS. Instead, his father – DiNozzo Sr. played by Robert Wagner – will be the one reappearing in the show.

In the next episode — titled "Home of the Brave" — Abby (Pauley Perrette), Bishop (Emily Wickersham), and McGee (Sean Murray) will try to talk DiNozzo Sr. into subletting Tony's old apartment to either one of them.

Meanwhile, Nick Torres will cause problems for the new "NCIS" team. In the next episode, Torres finds out that a witness from their unit's ongoing case is wanted by the U.S. Immigration and Customs enforcement. Torres will break protocol and put things into motion, which will cause them trouble.

It seems that Torres will be the team's black sheep for a while. Previously on "NCIS" season 14, Abby tried to bond the team with her knitted sweaters but Torres refused to give in to the team spirit by saying that the sweater's shade wasn't his color.

In a previous interview with TV Guide, Valderrama described his character Torres' entrance to the NCIS team.

"He's going to be struggling a lot. He's going to unfortunately have a tough time working and playing with others," shared Valderrama. He also added that Torres would rather "break a rule than follow it," which makes him sort of a liability for the team.

"NCIS" season 14 airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
