David McCallum's Ducky and Mark Harmon's Gibbs will make a big discovery on the next episode of "NCIS" season 15 that will give them the chance to close a 16-year-old case.

According to the episode synopsis, the duo will spot a potential murder weapon while watching an episode of the reality television series, "American Pickers." The show in question features Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz looking for hidden gems in junkyards and other unlikely places. Apparently, Ducky and Gibbs will see them finding an antique war stick that could be the missing weapon from a case they handled more than a decade ago.

Promo photos from "NCIS" season 15 episode 17 see the pair checking on the 200-year-old stick which looks like a huge club with spikes embedded on the wood. Ducky and Palmer (Brian Dietzen) are shown back in the headquarters, examining the weapon. Elsewhere, Gibbs and Bishop (Emily Wickersham) team up in inspecting a storage room where the war stick was found.

Directed by Michael Zinberg from Scott Williams' script, the episode titled "One Man's Trash" guest stars Wolfe as himself. According to Christian Post, the actor will help Gibbs and Ducky track down the seller of the antique to further dig into the cold case. The episode also marks McCallum's return to the NCIS following his brief departure earlier in the season. It is unclear, however, if he would be back permanently or for limited episodes only.

"One Man's Trash" will be followed by episode 18: "Death From Above." The episode sees the team evacuating the NCIS headquarters as they discover a body and bomb materials on the roof of the squad room. Also, they will have a glimpse of Ducky's upcoming book as the medical examiner hands out his draft for the first time.

"NCIS" season 15 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
