Google is reportedly planning to reveal the Nexus 5X phone on Sept. 29.

The Nexus 6 smartphone is also supposedly coming out on the same day, according to CNet.

Google is expected to host an event specially dedicated to the launch of the new line of Nexus phones in San Francisco on the aforementioned date.

Once the new line of Nexus phones have been formally launched, they will soon be available for pre-order.

According to Talk Android, eager buyers of both the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6 won't have to wait long to place their orders as the two devices are expected to be offered beginning Oct. 13. The aforementioned date is just for pre-orders however, as it is still unknown when prospective buyers will actually be able to get their hands on the new devices from Google.

It should be noted that Google has yet to confirm the launch date for the new line of Nexus phones and the supposed day when those are up for pre-orders. Google can still shift gears before the date of the event and move things around a bit, depending on what may unfold in the days leading up to it.

The Nexus 5X phone from Google has been the subject of constant rumors this year as people have been anticipating its arrival.

The new phone from Google will reportedly feature the Snapdragon 808 chipset together with 3 GB of RAM, according to Android Pit. There will also reportedly be two different versions of the Nexus 5X phone, with one providing users with 16GB of internal storage and another one doubling that at 32 GB.

LG's Nexus 5X phone will also have a 12.5-megapixel camera at the back and one up front at 5-megapixels.

Both the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6 devices are also expected to feature the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system upon release.
