Nexus 6 vs LG G3 specs comparison: Which QHD smartphone works better?

Out of all the smartphones in the market today, Google's Nexus 6 is closely similar to LG's G3 in terms of features and specs. Yet these are still two different devices altogether.

One of their similarities lies on the QHD display, which LG could proudly boast being the very first brand to offer such in a mobile device. But there are a lot of things that set the two phones apart.

Here is a detailed comparison between the recently unveiled Motorala Nexus 6 from Google and LG G3:

The Nexus 6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with 2.7 GHz Quad-core CPU and Adreno 420 GPU, while LG's smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2.5 GHz Quad-core as well as an Adreno 330 GPU.

Storage

Google's latest smartphone comes in 32 GB and 64 GB variants with 3 GB RAM, while the G3 is only offered with 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage options, although it will also have 3 GB RAM. However, the memory of LG G3 can be expanded up to 128 GB with the use of a microSD card.

Camera

Both smartphones have 13-megapixel cameras with Dual-LED Flash and optical image stabilization. The secondary camera of LG G3, however, is a little bit better than the one installed in Nexus 6 because it has 2.1 megapixels, compared to the other's 2 megapixels.

Pricing

There are no details yet about the network-locked prices of the upcoming Google Nexus 6, but it will be sold for $649 without any contract obligations. On the other hand, the two-year contract offered by various networks for the LG G3 requires $200 cash-out, while the contract-free price is around $600.

In the U.S., various network carriers offer deals for both phones. Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint and US Cellular will provide different packages for the Nexus 6, while the LG G3 is offered by Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T.
