Nick Jonas doesn't regret taking off his purity ring

Nick Jonas has dropped his good boy image and seems to be taking on an increasingly liberal perspective nowadays. He has been seen partying with some of the biggest stars in the music industry and made some unconventional appearances for his budding solo career.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Nick expressed his excitement about being invited to parties that were attended by music celebrities.

"Taylor threw a really good party," Nick told Rolling Stone of Taylor Swift's lavish birthday celebration in December. "And I was pretty pumped about hanging out with Jay Z and Beyoncé. Talk about relationship goals!"

The 22-year old Nick seems to be pleased where his career is heading after his self-titled album hit the charts featuring his single Jealous.

Since the Jonas Brothers broke up in October 2013, Nick has been transforming himself as a solo artist and actor. In an interview with Loose Women, Nick told the audience that breaking up the band and his subsequent transition were not easy.

"It was tough, very tough. At first it was a little shocking because I was so transparent. I shared my heart with them, which is important. Once we got into the conversation, a couple of hours in, we all realised it was the right thing," he said of the day he and his brothers decided to disband.

The star recently raised eyebrows when he did a sexy photo shoot for Flaunt Magazine that showed his ripped abs and bulging biceps. He was featured wearing Calvin Klein boxers grabbing his crotch with his jeans hanging around his knees. He told Rolling Stone that the poses were spur of the moment.

"I had no idea. It just kind of happened, and now I have a lot of unexpected new fans," he told Rolling Stone.

Moreover, Nick, who has been dating former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo since August of 2013, also talked about not wearing his purity ring.

"It's important for anyone to grow, the thing that was strange for me was the emphasis on my sex life at 14, it's a crazy thing. I've seen a lot of my peers struggle with media attention on things that are very personal and that was one," he said.

He added, "I had the time outside of the public eye to develop my own belief system and figure out what is important to me and what I believe in relation to sex and God and all those kind of things, you do as you grow up and now I'm happy, I'm a man and I do what men do."

Meanwhile, the singer got a role in the new horror comedy Scream Queens set to premiere in the fall.
