On Dec. 14, story-driven adventure game, "Night in the Woods" released its "Weird Autumn" edition. The latest edition is the Director's Cut of "Night in the Woods" and it brings additional content such as new dialogue, mini-games, and characters to the base game.

The "Weird Autumn" trailer was uploaded to Game Trailer's YouTube channel on Oct. 30. "New Weird. New Crimes. Old Tales" is the current slogan of the latest edition.

It was reported that while the complete edition of "Night in the Woods" would follow the same plot-line and the same colorful cast, it would bring in new mini-games and new dream sequences. The "Weird Autumn" edition would also include the supplemental games "Longest Night" and "Lost Constellation."

"Longest Night" was released in 2013, shortly after the Kickstarter came to an end. The supplemental game features the main characters sitting around a bonfire and charting constellations. While it doesn't add much to the plot of the main game, it gives fans a nice glimpse of the world building that was put into "Night in the Woods." Aside from that, a similar segment pops up in the main game as well. In this segment, Mae Borowski (the protagonist) must find similar constellations with one of her teachers.

Meanwhile "Lost Constellation" was released shortly after in 2014. The second "Night in the Woods" supplemental game features a younger Mae Borowski and her grandfather. He tells her the story of Adina the Astronomer. While it has little influence over the main game itself, Adina does show up again — making a cameo during the constellation-finding segment between Mae and her teacher.

Aside from the inclusion of the supplemental games, a new and secret achievement list has also been released for the "Weird Autumn Edition." For the first time since its release, "Night in the Woods" has also been made available for the Xbox One.

Those who already own "Night in the Woods" will receive the "Weird Autumn" update for free as well.
